What's a Neighborhood Council?
A neighborhood council is an organized group of stakeholders in the community (residents - both renters and owners, businesspeople, employees, students and other individuals with direct ties to the area) that serves as an advisory to the city. As representatives of the community, the neighborhood council allows both the community and city to be informed of its issues and needs, and ultimately creates a better sense of community and improves the quality of life in the area.

The EHNC - Your Neighborhood Council
We are currently forming the neighborhood council for our community! Organized by the East Hollywood Community Association, along with various institutions, groups and community members, our goal is to meet the criteria for a certified Neighborhood Council as prescribed by the L.A. City Department of Neighborhood Empowerment (DONE).

Boundaries
The EHNC's boundaries are Hollywood Blvd to the north, Sunset Blvd and Hoover St to the east, Melrose Ave to the south and Western Ave to the west.

Certification
The certification process is basically the involvement of many individuals within the community to meet with, learn about and study our community. The findings are then submitted to the city. By getting to know our community better, it will be much easier to have the city serve our needs!
